Protect Your BiZZBoard Account from Phishing

At BiZZBoard.com, we are committed to helping our users stay safe. We want to alert you to a recent increase in phishing attempts targeting BiZZBoard accounts. These fraudulent schemes are designed to steal sensitive information such as passwords, two-factor authentication codes, or financial data by impersonating BiZZBoard via email or phone.

How Phishing Works

Phishing emails often claim there is an urgent issue with your BiZZBoard account—such as suspended payouts or failed payments—to create panic and pressure you into revealing personal information. In some cases, fraudsters may even call you pretending to be BiZZBoard representatives.

Important: BiZZBoard will never make unsolicited phone calls. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and reach out to BiZZBoard Support through official channels.

How to Protect Your BiZZBoard Account

To keep your BiZZBoard account secure, follow these best practices:

  • Validate Email Addresses and Websites
Only trust emails sent from noreply@bizzboard.com. Be cautious of addresses containing misspellings e.g. no-reply@bizzboard.com, random characters, or unusual formats. Always verify that you are on an official BiZZBoard website when accessing your account.

  • Sign In Using Bookmarks
Bookmark official BiZZBoard URLs e.g. https://www.bizzboard.com and use these bookmarks to log in. This minimizes the risk of landing on fraudulent websites.

  • Use Strong Authentication
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) using a hardware security key or an authentication app for maximum protection.

  • Audit Your Browser Extensions
Only install extensions from trusted sources. Malicious plugins can compromise your security by accessing sensitive data like passwords.

How do I recognize a fake email, website or a suspicious message?

Scammers send emails that are (almost) impossible to recognize as fake. In these emails, they pose as “BiZZBoard” or someone from our organization. This way, they try to obtain your (login) credentials or other important information from you. Techniques for making fake emails appear legitimate are constantly improving. Therefore, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to recognize a fake email or text message, for example. Websites of companies and organizations are also very easily copied. As a result, you can’t tell they’re fake.

Criminals are constantly coming up with new ways to scam people with fake emails and fake websites. Therefore, it’s difficult to say exactly what steps you need to take to recognize a fake email or website.

Email Scam

  • Scammers send emails with High urgency and pose as “BiZZBoard” or someone else from our organization.

  • no-reply@bizzboard.com > False email address we DO NOT use.
  • False phone number to scare you!

Website Scam

  • Scammers clone our website in iFrame to make it look legit and ask you to log in.
  • Compare it with official site bizzboard.com.
  • Look for telltale cosmetic signs like: Misspellings. Grammatical errors.
  • Note: Scammers use different false website URL’S every time!
  • False Website URL: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/bafkreih4cmpjxu2smftieoobzzwrkwayr5kmw5vrj26eo4uo3up4k3qcxa?eta=your-email-here
  • It MUST be always https://bizzboard.com or https://www.bizzboard.com
  • DO NOT LOG IN HERE! If you do, your account will be compromised!

If you believe you’ve fallen victim to a SCAM, the first thing you should do:

In short, you need to remove any remaining funds from your compromised wallet (to a new or existing wallet that is secure) and make sure the scammer can’t access any other sensitive personal or financial information on your device, whether related to BiZZBoard or not.

Once you’ve prevented any further loss of funds, you should:

  1. Get in touch with BiZZBoard Support to notify us of details such as:
  • The suspected scammer’s public account, name or address
  • The website, email or other medium through which the scam reached you.
  1. Alert the local cybercrime authority. Although we can’t maintain an exhaustive list, we’ve detailed a few below which will cover much of our user base:

Remember: as some transactions are on the blockchain they are irreversible, BiZZBoard cannot retrieve your funds for you.

Report the scammer’s public address on the block explorer, if possible. On Etherscan, for example, you can do this here. If the block explorer concludes, after investigation, that the address shows signs of fraudulent activity, it will be flagged. This will help other network users to exercise caution in future.

Even if this were not the case, we wouldn’t be able to anyway: with a self-custodial wallet, we do not have access to or control over your Secret Recovery Phrase — only you do. This means you’re the only one who can manage the funds in your wallet.

 What can you do?

Recognising fake websites and domain names is not always easy. Checking the url and email is a good method:

  • noreply@bizzboard.com
  • Use your common sense. Consider whether it’s normal and logical to receive an email from this person or organization with this question.
  • Also, carefully consider the offer you receive in the email, message, or on the website. If it seems too good to be true, consider that it could be a scam.
  • Is the email addressed to you personally, and is your information correct? (For example, your name, address, customer number, account number, etc.) Remember that scammers could have stolen your information in a data breach.
  • Is the tone of the email compelling and do you need to respond very quickly? This could indicate a scam.
  • Do you notice anything unusual about the words, spelling, or grammar used? Then pay extra attention.
  • Check our website to see if the email you received is known to be a scam.
  • Check where a link in an email leads. You can do this by hovering your mouse over the link address (the URL) without clicking. You’ll also see a URL appear in the bottom left corner of the screen. If this address is different from the one shown at the top of the screen, then you can be sure it’s a fake link.
  • Always write down your Secret Recovery Phrase in the correct order and store it someplace safe. BiZZBoard uses blockchain technology, which means we cannot control access to user accounts, nor intervene and rescue your account or funds for you.

Unfortunately, transactions on the blockchain cannot be reversed, nor missing funds restored. BiZZBoard will never ask you to enter information via a link in an email. Never give it to anyone. BiZZBoard will never ask you for this!
